Why You Need to Use Your Brain if You Choose Internet Marketing

Why is it that people believe everything they read, see, or hear online?

Why is it that people who are usually honest sometimes lie online?

Why is it that intelligent people fall for hype and bogus claims online?

Why is it that good people don’t hesitate to give very bad advise online?

Why is it that scammers, spammers, and thieves prey on innocent people?

Here’s just one (of many) good reasons:

Today’s tip: To be successful as an Internet marketer, you need to use your brain in order to combat the anonymity of the Internet!

To that end, let me suggest five very simple “filters” that will help you.

1- What does your brain tell you when you hear statements like this? “I read it online” . . . “This will solve all your problems” . . . “It worked for me and it will work for you too” . . . “If just 1% of your prospects buy” . . . “This is the most important email you will ever receive” . . . “here is your once-in-a-lifetime opportunity” . . .

2- When you’re faced with a purchase decision and you’re all lathered up and sweaty, would it be wise to take a break, back off, and use your brain instead of following your pulse in your final decision?

3- In the struggle between intellect-reality-common sense-self discipline
vs
emotion-fantasy-wishes-greed

your brain is a marvelous partner that will help you to make apply the correct thinking if you will but engage it and follow it.

4- Is your brain constantly at work helping you learn from your marketing mistakes? If not, you’d better apply for a new one that will.

5- In driving, the most important safety equipment is the nut that holds the wheel: you. Likewise, in Internet marketing, the most important factor in your success is you (with your brain engaged).

P.S. Don’t take this post too seriously . . . but seriously, don’t put your brain in sleep mode.
