$500,000 Annually From Google Advertising For the Solo Owner?
I recently viewed a video clip produced by John Reese that showed his amazing VRE strategy that added over $500,000 to his business the first year it was implemented (beginning in February 2005.)
You can view the video for yourself right here.
(Excuse me if this link is no longer working – John has changed his business model several times in the past couple of years and the link may be down by now.)
John says he spent about 120 hours initially setting up this project which includes a network of small web sites that carry Google Adsense ads along with specifically targeted content related to high-paying keyword niches.
John is the same fellow that made some huge waves in the Internet marketing circles when he sold over $1 million of his Traffic Secrets course in a 24-hour period.
VRE stands for Virtual Real Estate.
John claims that it’s not too late for anyone to set up a similar system right now and profit from Google advertising in a similar manner.
I got to thinking that this strategy could be used in tandem with the solo business model which is based on targeted and focused content of the business owner.
Adding a virtual real estate network of sites could bring additional targeted customers to the solo business operator’s main site as well display targeted keyword ads that would bring in an additional revenue stream.
I haven’t tried this strategy myself, but I can’t see why it wouldn’t work if done properly according to John’s instructions.
If you watch his short video, there will be information presented at the end that will tell you where and how to learn more about his VRE program.
Google has both Adsense and Adlinks that be of interest to the small business website owner.
Here’s what Google says about each:
“Google AdSense is a fast and easy way for website publishers of all sizes to display relevant, unobtrusive Google ads on their website’s content pages and earn money . . .” You can start a Google Adsense account and learn more about the program: https://www.google.com/adsense
“Ad Links are a new form of text advertising that we’re offering to our AdSense publishers. Using the same contextual targeting algorithm that targets Google ads to your content pages, Ad Links units display a list of topics that are relevant to your page. Each topic, when clicked, brings the user to a page of related advertisements.”
You can learn more about the Ad Links format: https://www.google.com/adsense/adformats
There is some debate among content site owners about the profitability of placing ads on sites since you only make money as your customers click on these ads which take them away from your site.
Some feel that purposefully sending a visitor away like this for a few cents in ad revenue is not smart.
I can understand that argument.
But at the same time, what solo business owner wouldn’t jump at the chance to produce $500,000 a year in addition to his main business?
Of course Mr. Reese does say that not all VRE projects will produce a similar level of income.
He is one of the Internet’s marketing geniuses and he understands what it takes to be successful.
He does feel that his strategy is effective for the amount of work required even if the level of income generated is only 1/10 what he produced.
I’d be very interested in hearing from any of you that have tried the VRE strategy to see how you feel about it.

It also got me to wondering what it is that people get from these things. Do people really draw motivation from this stuff? I have been reading Darren Brown’ s Tricks of the Mind , or at least re- reading sections of it, this week. He points out that m…
